LA-25 Series LVDTs from Alliance Sensors Group, Moorestown, NJ, are for use in steel, aluminum, and paper mills; fluid power systems; and hydro plants. Available in F.S. ranges from 3 in. to 15 in., the LVDTs have a 1.00 in. o.d. aluminum housing terminated with either a cable in a cord grip or a heavy-duty axial connector. The IP67-rated housing has a threaded end nose that can go through a 0.88 in. hole in a bulkhead or bracket up to 0.13 in. thick. The LVDT's core is enclosed inside a 0.375 in. dia. SS connecting rod assembly from which it cannot break loose, and which moves within a bronze bushing with two double-contact shaft seals.
