The PRAS1 magnetic angle sensor from ASM Sensors Inc., Elmhurst, IL, provides absolute position measurement over the full 360° sensing range. Housed in a compact M12 housing with a 0.5 in. dia. and <2 in. overall length, the sensor has typical 0.1° resolution and offers 4–20 mA, 0.5–4.5 V, or 0.5–10 V outputs. The sensor measures using a position magnet and is suited for heavy-duty applications, such as automation equipment, variable valve controls, and mobile working machines.
