The MeshGuard from RAE Systems Inc., San Jose, CA, is a single-sensor, battery-powered toxic gas detector integrated with a wireless mesh radio modem for detecting hazardous levels of hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide. Each unit can operate up to 6 months without calibration or battery replacement; radio range is 300 m LOS, with each unit providing radio relay capability. An FMC 2000 wireless controller can display remote readings for up to 24 monitors.
