The ZigBee RF Evaluation kit from Ember Corp., Boston, MA, lets you test the company's EM250 and EM260 ZigBee hardware in real-world conditions. The kit includes two ZigBee RF evaluation nodes, each of which comprises a carrier board, RF module with ZigBee chip, antenna, and LCD panel. The two nodes can be placed anywhere within range to create a point-to-point ZigBee network for testing purposes. InSight Desktop software provides deeper analysis and debugging capabilities using a laptop connected to a node; you can also hook up a spectrum analyzer to analyze data transmission.
