High-Speed Laser Sensors from Keyence

The LJ-G Series from Keyence Corp. of America, Woodcliff Lake, NJ, is a high-speed 2D laser sensor that can measure the surface profile of targets in the X and Y directions. Sampling speed is 3.8 ms, accuracy is ±0.1% F.S. in the Z axis, and the sensor can perform 8-point measurements. Five sensor heads are available, ranging from 15–200 mm, to handle tight specifications for a variety of industrial applications. A multifunction controller provides dual independent analog and discrete outputs; an RS-232 port; an Ethernet port; 2-sensor-head capability; and internal memory for up to 160 programs, 1034 profiles, or 65,000 data points. You can measure width, profile, and distance using 28 modes at 8 different points simultaneously.
