Inductively resonant position sensors use the same basic physics as traditional inductive position sensors and so they offer similar advantages of reliable, accurate measurement in harsh environments. However, inductively resonant position sensors - sometimes referred to as ‘incoders’ - offer a more compact, lighter and less costly approach.
