TDK is focused on showcasing consumer and auto sensing at Sensors Converge 2025, which runs next week from June 24-26 in Santa Clara, CA.
In addition to appearances at speaking sessions, TDK experts will show off a range of custom sensing solutions. “InvenSense was founded 22 years ago in Silicon Valley, so it’s ideal to have Sensors Converge happen right in our neighborhood,” said Dawn Mortensen, Sr. Director, Marketing, InvenSense, a TDK group company. “We’re bringing the best of TDK’s sensor technology to Sensors Converge 2025 with new demos showcasing solutions for TWS, smartphones, accessibility, home security, thermal management, braking, and energy harvesting.”
The company said earlier it expects to show off, among other tech:
--Hearables/TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Solutions with VibeSense 360. Spatial audio and keyword assist, head and UI gestures and machine learning are part of the VibeSense360 Solution with a SmartMotion IMU and on-chip software.
--WeWALK Smart Cane 2 with TDK Sensors. The award-winning Smart Cane is enabled by the TDK’s MEMS Microphone, SmartMotion and SmartSonic Time of Flight sensors along with AI/edge intelligence for people with visual impairments.
“By using multiple TDK sensors to help create the intelligence of the Smart Cane 2, the WeWALK team shows the vast potential for sensor innovation,” said Massimo Mascotto, director of product marketing for InvenSense, a TDK group company. “We believe WeWALK inspires other engineers to use TDK sensors in creating products that improve lives.”
--Braking and Steering with Precision Sensing for auto applications including streeting wheel angle detection, brake and acceleration control, valve positioning and chassis monitoring.
--MEMS Microphones to showcase audio capture, spoken word detection and acoustic activity detection with low power for IoT and smart home/building applications.
--Energy Harvesting from Ambiq+TDK, an energy harvesting reference design platform for energy efficient applications in healthcare, smart home/building and remote infrastructure monitoring.
TDK has also been named a finalist in three Best of Sensors Awards categories: Auto and Mobility, Healthcare & Wearable and Smart Infrastructure. The winners in all categories will be announced Wednesday, June 25.
TDK will appear at Booth 722 at Sensors Converge, June 24-26, in Santa Clara. Free admission to the Expo Hall is available with online registration, using the code HAMBLEN.
